Prayer

This is a Weekly Prayer Focus sent by Global Media Outreach for each and everyone of us:

But all around the world, we don’t need a special holiday to do this; we can give thanks to God each and every day. Just think of some of the things we can thank God for:

Thank God for sending His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins
Thank God that He loves us
Thank God that He is gracious and merciful and kind and loving
Thank God for the air that we breathe and the food that we eat
Thank God for family and friends
Thank God for financial provision
Thank God for health
Thank God for sending His Holy Spirit to live in our lives as Christians
Thank God for forgiving our sins when we accept Christ as our Savior
Thank God for the gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord
Thank God for the church and for other Christians
Thank God for being able to worship Him

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name."

Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

I would like to share this message with you all. I received the message from Global Media Outreach. I urge you to be a team in this global outreach to pray for those in in spiritual needs worldwide. Read the message below:

“Be strong in the Lord.” What does it mean to be strong in the Lord? It does not mean physical strength it means spiritual strength.
When we are strong spiritually, we know who we are in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, has overcome sin and death and hell. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, He then lives in us spiritually, and we live in Him. The Bible says we are “seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

So sin does not need to be victor over you because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Fear does not need to rule you because Christ’s perfect love casts out fear. Even death does not have victory over you because if you have accepted Christ, you will go to heaven when you die.

No matter what faces you, ask God for His strength and His peace and His victory and you can overcome. Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So this week, let us pray that:
* God will help you and us to overcome all sin and temptation in our lives through Jesus Christ
* God will help Global Media Outreach to reach even more people for Jesus Christ and will fill our staff with His Holy Spirit
* God will help you and us to love even our enemies in Christ’s love

THANK YOU so much for your prayers. God loves you very much. We are so glad to be part of God’s family together.
May God bless you,
Your friends at Global Media Outreach

Worship God

God has given us His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. God loves us and cares for us. Our response to Him is to love Him and worship Him. Jesus taught us that the greatest command is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength".

We can express our love to God by telling God that we love Him. One way to do this is through worship, through singing and through music. The Bible says "Sing to the Lord". We can praise God for Who He is; we can praise God for what He has done in our lives.

Have fellowship with fellow Christian. We need to have fellowship with one another as we worship the Lord. This will strengthen our relationship with one another beside building up one's faith in the Lord.

The Way To Salvation

If you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior,
you can be sure you are a Christian.
You are not a Christian because you go to church,
or because you do good things.
The Bible says "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,'
and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Christ came to die for our sins, so that "To all who received Him,
to those who believed in His name,
He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12 ).

Watchfulness

Examination is coming soon. Are you ready? My teacher often said out these sentences.
It was true, when one day my teacher gave our class a surprise test.
I did badly. Feeling so depress, I broke into tears upon collecting my paper.
But my tears mean nothing to me.

The second coming of the Lord is near.
To separate the wheat and the weed
To judge the living and the death.
What will be your answer?

Jesus is standing at the door and knock
If you hear His voice and open the door of your heart
He will come in to stay as your Lord and Saviour.

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

Know that the world is going its way to destruction as in the time of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Consciously or unconsciously, we are committing sins of all kinds. Now, let us come to our Lord Jesus asking for His forgiveness. Say this prayer of confession, acknowledging our sins and transgression. The Lord promises us in 1 John 1:9:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics.. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'

FORGIVENESS

During Jesus time on earth, not less than one time He reminds his followers about forgiving each fellow man. An illustration He made: If a man hurts you seven times a day. Each time that man hurts you he asks for forgiveness. Jesus said, you must forgive that person. A little bit curious, Peter asked: "Does it mean that we must forgive a person up to seven times a day?" Jesus replied: "Not only seven times but seventy times seven times."

From this message we learn a lesson that we must forgive each others' sin continuously without any condition. Often we human being have conditions in forgiving others. The first time a person hurts us, we say: its alright. The second time, we said: you should be careful. The third time he hurts, we said to him: Don't you ever hurt me again or else I will hurt you back. This situation happens to each and everyone of us. Our condition of forgiving others is limited to three times.

Let us think about Jesus when He was hang on the cross where people hurled curses on him beside hurting his body. Do you know what was His reply? "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." In the same way when Stephen was stoned to death. Before he breathed his last he cried out in a loud voice: "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." Jesus and Stephen set two examples for us to follow. Not to keep people's wrong deeds but to be reconciled to each other.

Forgive means to humble oneself to each other or to say "sorry". If we submit ourselves to each other as Jesus submit himself by allowing people to nail him on the cross, there will be peace in this world.

Finally, learn to forgive and to bless others.
